Karly Leib, RN, IBCLC
Karly has over two decades of experience as a registered nurse. Ever since she underwent open heart surgery as a young teen, Karly has had a deep desire to help care for others during their most vulnerable seasons of life. As a nurse she has had ample opportunity to live out this dream while working in the ICU, volunteering as a school nurse and traveling around as an IV home infusion nurse. In the midst of those years she and her husband, Robbie, had 3 babies and then eventually became foster parents. For the next 6 years, infants, toddlers and young children came and went until they adopted a brother and sister sibling set and their home reached maximum capacity!
Caring for and supporting vulnerable children and struggling parents eventually shifted Karly’s nursing career focus onto working with moms, babies and families. Her next role as a clinic nurse and lactation consultant for a Midwifery group provided the perfect environment for her to combine her nursing skills with her calling to serve families. Karly was integral in developing a brand new lactation program within the clinic and completed the extensive training and practice hours required to become an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). By the time Karly left Washington to move to Idaho, the lactation program was flourishing and she took all the experience she gained and poured it into creating Nourish Lactation and Wellness!
